I reckon P too. It looks the same as the P in Pioneer. As for the rest of the word, well good luck with that, I haven't got a clue!
Good call, I think you may be right. Although, I'm so suggestible, if you'd said coffee, I'd probably see that too But Perm is a good contender.
I see the address she is going to is 'Pioneer Place'. There are some wonderful postcards of old Seattle at the Seattle City Archives, including one of Pioneer Place near the bottom of the page. http://www. seattle.gov/cityarchives/exhibits-and-education/online-exhibits/historical-postcards
After searching through local burials in my area and surrounding villages, I have found the burial for Emma/Elsie/Elsa's father Aaron and her brother William. They were buried in Llanfair Waterdine church yard. Aaron died on 6th March 1924, aged 82 William died on 17th December 1937, aged 69 They were buried together. I now have a picture of their headstone. Llanfair is only 4 miles from where I live. I have also found probate records for them. Aaron names William (his son) as an executor and William names his younger brother Cecil as his executor.
I started another post on here the other day GRO question It was because I ordered the birth certificate for an Emma Jones born in Knighton 1874. The cert came today and.... AND...... it is for Emma/Elsie/Elsa She was named Emma Jones. Her father was Aaron Jones and her mother was Charlotte Jones formerly Davies of Llanfair Waterdine. She was born on 15th September 1874 not August as it says on her death cert. She was just 2 months short of her 48th birthday when she had her son in 1922.
So just to round off for others who may search for this family. Aaron and Charlotte Jones had a total of 7 children. Sarah - b.1865 William - b.1869 - d.1938 Emma - b.1874 - c.1879 - m.1929 - d.1954 Alice - b.1875 - c.1879 - m.1906 Charles - b.1876- c.1879 - m.1905 - d.1953 Ada. Charlotte - b.1881 - c.1881 - d.1907 Cecil Ernest - b.1886 - m.1928 - d.1963 On the 1911 census it says they had 7 children only 6 shown as living, because Ada Charlotte died in 1907. .....and a final message from 'D' This has been an amazing adventure. It was only by sheer luck or by the hand of my Nanny that I found Knighton Memories and you and your great team of researchers. I am forever beholding to you all
