I have been trawling through the above register, looking to see if I could find anything about my Beavis/Bevis/Beavos, plus countless other name variations, family and found this in December 1734.
Was the incumbent just doodling or is it a reperesentation of the happy couple?:D

If it is the happy couple, then the vicar/warden was not terribly kind to them.
I did wonder if 'his' lip was an error or a wart!o_O That nose has seen a bash or two as well.

Then again who are we to say what makes a fair maid or a handsome lad, ? & if must be whatever makes a 'happy ' marriage. I wonder who was listed in the above marriage.

Above the line were baptisms - the register was very orderly, month by month (the writing was not always the best, but hey ho!) and when there were none it was noted. Some nice additional info too, one burial said granddaughter of...
Single ladies who died were all noted as 'Maiden'.

Doodling or not, 'tis only the doodler's interpretation, perhaps they were of import to him.
I so like the extra 'bit's entered by the clerk /Cleric at such events.
