Signatures

Can someone advise how I can add a signature to my profile to save me having to type it every time?

I thought he was asking about the field at the bottom, where you have got Jan

 

Oops! I was thinking that could be changed in Profile, but seemingly not.

 

Malcolm, in meantime you could save your sig. to a notepad or similar & copy/paste to your posts as they are now.

 

Thanks Wendy. Yes, I was asking about the signature box at the bottom where Wendy has "Wendy" and "Forget them not as they live again through us"

There is no way in profiles (well, in my profile anyway) to add a custom signature to the bottom of my posts. How have others done it?

Malcolm, if you "click" on your own name (in this topic, for example) it will bring up a box with all the different "areas" concerning you. On the left hand side there's a link "signature". That's where I added mine. It allows you to use one of several fonts and colours and also bold, italic etc. Hope this helps?

As has been said no way 'hosay' until they who decree, decree. My way was just a time saver to writing your usual sign off.

To all those who made this history we have a duty not to forget

 

I think the penny has finally dropped with me, using Phillippa's motto above as an example I thought this was the "signature" but now I realise it's not, only the name e.g. Phillippa is the signature.

Is there a way to make the "motto" appear in each post automatically?

I've read Wendy's advice in post #6 but the only way I know of copying to a notepad is the copy and paste method which of course is not the answer for an automatic appearance in posts.

Any advice please in step by step simple terms because it will most likely be something I'm not conversant with.
