If you travel along the A427 between Weldon and Upper Benefield in Northamptonshire you will pass the Deenethorpe Airfield, which was home to the 401st Bombardment Group during WW2. Just in case anyone had ancestors in the 612th, 613th, 614th or 615th Squadrons who were stationed at 128 Deenethorpe, I took a photograph of the memorial last evening.
