Hello all! I'm new to this forum which looks very interesting already btw!
I have been researching my family tree since 1996 which has took me down quite a few wild goose chases and blind alleys!
I'm very happy to share my knowledge of Leicestershire with others especially if you have never visited Leicestershire or the East Midlands of England. Every County has it's quirks and specialities, we have many cultures represented here now which certainly is very different from my youth in the 60's/70's but it is one that Leicester certainly celebrates.
My main Surnames of interest are Cooke, Clarke, Agar, Warner, Battersby, Morris, Brant, Packwood and Cufflin all in Leicestershire and beyond!
