Death down a lift shaft

Would anyone be able to find this in the papers?
I have been told that a relation Edwin Ingle fell down a lift shaft as a young man and died. The only likely contender in my family I have found is Edward Richard Ingle who died aged 17 in London 1919 Oct Q. He was living in Camberwell in 1911
I would have thought it would be reported in the papers, but I haven't found anything at all. If right, this would be my great uncle

 

The difficulty is that not so many of the London papers have been digitised yet so even if it was reported you might need to go to a local library to find it.

 

Just to narrow this death down a bit, Deceased Online has a burial for Edward Richard Ingle in a Southwark cemetery on 30th October 1919.

 

Well done Flook, I looked for this around 6pm this evening and got nothing on the British Newspaper Archive, so looked on Deceased online and got no result.
Looked again now, as you had found an Edward Dingle rather than an Edwin Dingle and, yes he was buried on October 30th 1919, residence given as 49 Vestry Road and age 17.
3 other burials in the same grave:
Emma Rose Dingle 20 Dec 1944 aged 71
Henry James Dingle 7 Dec 1944 aged 72
Herbert Henry 21 Mar 1936 aged 40

They are buried in Camberwell Old Cemetry Forest Hill Road,Forest Hill,London SE22

 

The only other thing that narrows down where to look is that the death appears to have been within the City of London according to the Death Registration.It's quite possible that there was an inquest as the cause of his death would possibly be a matter of public interest concerning the safety of lifts.

Have you any idea how to find anything about this, apart from newspapers?

 

I've had a good look to see if I could find anything in a paper for an accident involving Edwin/Edward Ingle in 1919, but with no luck whatsoever. As Londoner said, the London papers aren't very well represented after about 1900.

 

My apologies annabel, I must have been thinking of Ireland at the time, of course the surnames are Ingle.
