Aren't they just the best way to spend a day and a vault full of money We were a bit put out with having to go in school holidays but to be truthful we came across some very well mannered 15-16 year olds. In particular the boys. Standing back and letting us through almost everywhere we went. The girls...not so much. Credit to our young people, they aren't too bad after all. Can't say that about performing event horses though, (the acting profession, I don't know )
My life is an ag show. Miss K's folks have a sow who delivered 15 piglets this week. Two are being hand raised due to injury. I also know about the horse snot problem - been on the receiving end of that many times. Best wishes to everyone, and congrats to Jane on publishing her book!
Thanks for the laugh. I'm extremely frustrated and had 5 goes at doing a complicated neck band for a short sleeved jumper. This thing is driving me to distraction but I will not give in...I will not give in. Everytime I get it right and get the length to about 5 inches, I drop a stitch right in the middle of a cable and can't pick it up. So I unpick it and start again......5 times
Sideways cable at that. Have given in now and consoled myself with a great hunk of cherry ripe rocky road. Someone special??? You betcha! ME.
I was about to say that. Story of my life... Our old horse has been taking up a fair bit of my time lately with vet visits (actually he's daughter's horse, but she's away globe-trotting with her new job). My cat is in the vet hospital at the moment. She's 17 and very poorly, but the vet said he wanted to give her a chance. She may come home today in a bid to try and get her eating again, then reassess tomorrow. Feel rather lost without the grumpy old thing taking up the chair. All this is because hubby suggested booking a holiday this summer for the first time in years. Devon... very nice - he earmarked a place to stay. "What?" said the animals in unison, "Going away? WE can't be having that!" So with the veterinary bill-ometer whizzing away, there'll be no holiday for us again this year. :sigh: I wouldn't have it any other way, but... Any of that cherry ripe left?
