This baptism caught m eye when checking a 3rd cousin's records in Camberwell. Has anyone seen this leaf motif in the date column of Baptisms, can anyone explain what it may have meant.? Last seen this chap in 1939 Register. Thought I'd perhaps go a little further.
No Sue but thanks. It's not on any of the others on that page. I looked at F.Search & dreaded to sew a burial in 1941, but that chap was aged 556 in 1941 so not my Laddie. I think he may have married a miss Munro in 1940 No proof yet.
Oh ta Sue. You learn something every day. I've just looked again & found another on next page. I wonder if it's a marker for where they go to with filming or similar? I wonder where I've been all this time?
"... & dreaded to sew a burial in 1941, but that chap was aged 556 in 1941 ..." Jane where did that quote come from? I actually slept wellish through the night regardless of physical discomfort which- however permeated my dreams causing a rather rude awakening in the early hours. Darn shame I cannot say same of today. Certainly did look different in the morning
Message no.4 in this thread! I'm only teasing Sounds as though you need a big hug - so here's one just for you Jane
Taa Jane, so appreciated. . "a burial in 1941, but that chap was aged 556 in 1941" rather think aged 56 Too much going on in my cranial cavities. DNA has a lot to answer for tossing in more possible family blendings. I really must give this lark away-a little bit--can't be good for my health & well being. :d
