    However, I have still not found a matching marriage registration.... :headbang:

    The nearest is Crickhowell, March quarter 1842, volume 26 page 354 where there is a Thomas WILLIAMS and an Elizabeth DAVIES on the same page.

    Could be a mistake, I suppose.... a several times great grandmother of mine had the vicar down as her father, which was then crossed out and the correct name entered...

    ....and I hate to tell you, but that Thomas Williams had a father Edward and was a widower, whilst Elizabeth was a minor with a father Richard :(

    PS Thomas was a hairdresser :rolleyes:
