To show again why I believe I am correct with my Fillery:... Bless them & their early pens & tired eyes, Are there any dissenters reading this lot? Thank you for reading & giving considered opinion.
I've spent the last 40 mins waiting for a medical type meeting which is NOT UNTIL tomorrow . I really must get more sleep tonight or I'll probably go shopping & forget the whole darn affair.
We did that last week only we were a day LATE. They rang to ask where we were. Of course we were at home and as it takes 3 hours to get there they kindly rescheduled for the same time next day. So we bought the lovely admin lady a cyclamen for her trouble. Lesson. Check the date against the day of the week.
Thank you all. I confess it wasn't until I dug out the marriage & had a closer look that I felt a little[forgive me] smug. @MollyMay Yes I can see how 'Sucker ' could mix in there.
The thing is, I knew the visit was for 22nd @ 2.30. so I got ironing done except for that still under the carport- tidied stuff- magazines & .... from the table & kept seeing 21st.. on the computer. Evidently didn't compute until son mentioned it. So now k.p. duty & per-chance a small vino for my trouble?
I submitted a correction but they would not change it - the reason was "that is what the word looked like"
I don't expect a correction either as the image clearly showed 'Tillery'. so much for communion wine eh?
For what it's worth (I know, not much), the groom's signature looks like John FULLER to me. OK, back to where I came from.
I can see what you saw as 'Fuller' due to the little dippy stroke across the 'F' & no dot on the 'i', but my parade is in full swing now & won't be halted for a dip or a dot. thanks all for looking & suggesting.
Just had another look and I guess what I thought was a smudge is a way. On second look and thougts I thnk Tillery.
