Can anyone please tell me if it's possible to obtain transcriptions of New Zealand BMD certs? or if not an idea of costs.
I am hoping to show DNA match cousins that they are most probably connected & how. They have not been linked as cousins via DNA as they are on diferent Genealogy sites. One on Ancestry & the other on MyHeritage. I do not intend to suggest that they upload DNA onto other sites as one will not accept it & the other will charge to see matches.

I have it pretty well sorted but a certificate as proof along with electoral rolls from N.Z. & death details [ages] will help. It's really fretting me that they don't know of each other apart from the little I have shown to one set of cousins. The other Lass needs it more so as several others have her family in trees & I believe they have chosen the wrong chap in a marriage- date of birth way out- hence they don't know of other rellies.

    Any help so appreciated.
    edit.
Does anyone know if their marriage certs show parents names?

At least one of the NSW transcription agents does overseas transcriptions, the one in Mortdale. Why not send an email and ask. All three agents are quite reasonable. Not sure if you have agents in SA.

Depending on the date range between $28-$34 through the Mortdale agent

Take a look here, it will give you info on what data is collected on each certificate.

Thank you Sue, It's rather odd as I can't spend the necessary on my Parents death certs,- why not? -[ well maybe it's time I did-can't take it with me,] but I do need to show cause as to why I believe these people to be the links between these cousins.

Surely a family member has those of your parents. Can’t be buried without it.

I've only ever seen a short birth cert for my Mother. No help for death, only was shown burial costs there. Always interstate when parents left us.

I just got a few New Zealand certificates and they cost much as I pay here in the UK. I got them over the net, after about 10 days, may be a little less. They were slightly different to UK certificates. The death cert (1971)also had number of children, not their ages though. I also got a marriage cert 1931, they have place of birth and details of previous marriages. I guess these dates may be later than ones you are looking for, so I am not much help really.:(

My Sister took care of endings for both parents, I wasn't evenable to be here for Dad's funeral. A bit 'expectant' & Dr. ruled out travel. That made for a bit of a shock seeing his name on the stone when I came over for Mum's funeral some years later. A family member dumped many of Sister's photos which mattered to me as he didn't know them. possibly other papers as well, Sister did show mefuneral costs etc. & I have some cards. I may ask one or two neices as they went to UK on strength of having realtion from there. [G'mother].
Actually it won;t hurt me to buy death certs. for both- useful for health purposes in Genealogy. Just don't like paying outrages prices to this gov't.

Exactly what I need thank you ELizabeth. A marriage in 1930, death 1977, I have birth in 1930 from the N.Z. BMD site but no particulars. Also the 1977 death which also shows birth date.

I have now ordered two certificate 'printouts' as they are said to hold more information than a certificate. Had to recheck death year tho' - seems it was 1978. Given birth date on that was closer to Baptism date than birth date from Baptism records. I can now go & dust or find something else to fuss over.
    Thanks again friendly helpers. :)

Oh joy in the late morning. I have received email printouts of the death & Marriage records I requested & both are correct to my family :D, can't wait to share with Lady cousins. :D Only thing not on death note was names of children.
    That's pretty quick turnaround.
