That's how I feel too, I did endure two or three Elvis films but the only thing that made them bearable was to be able to sit with my arm around my wife, then girl friend, no prizes for guessing who the person was that wanted to see them. The problem was that the story was nearly always the same, poor boy makes good, overcomes all trials and tribulations, marries girl from a moneyed family, lives happily ever after, yawn. I suppose his gyrating would get some girls warmed up so I suppose that's who the films were aimed up. Mind you, my wife and I did enjoy jiving to his music.
Yep, with June living in southeast London we could only be together weekends so we had to make the most of them.
I imagine you have seen the Scottish reporter and her encounter with a drop bear on fire ravaged Kangaroo Island.....if not, enter ‘Scottish reporter and koala’ in you search engine. Hilarious but what a great sport she is. She took it extremely well. And if you can’t take time for a laugh in the face of adversity then there is no hope.
Not something I stress about at the best of times. Just that we haven’t seen it in so long. I do own a mop... Sleepless night last night for some reason, not like me, so I sat on the balcony with a chai latte watching the developing storm over the hills until one massive lightening bolt sent me back inside followed quickly by those muddy paws.
Had quite a bit of rain where I am as well. Unfortunately not much fell over the Victorian fire zones.
Yes we had some rain here too in the Illawarra, not sure how much but enough that I will not have to do the planned watering of plants in pots and tubs, I got woken with a loud peal of thunder around sixish. On the down side it means I have to keep the 3 dogs indoors instead of them being in the back garden, in the garden they would manage to get very dirty, at the moment all three dogs and the cat are asleep, dogs on the floor and the cat is on the lounge where of course he is not supposed to be
I’d love to but unfortunately it comes from you to us. Sorry. Try to catch it on the next spin. It’s very fickle. More storms coming now. This is the best.
We have had a massive storm here this afternoon, rain and lots of hail, in the middle of this turns up a very frightened dog, phone number on collar finds the owner in Hong Kong, his son was looking after his dog, son could not be contacted but he managed to contact a friend of his, dog was dropped off and is safe and sound inside.
