I decided to go back with this family.
    If I am right:
I have Henry Osborne born/baptised 1795. Where I got that from I have no idea.He had died by 1830 at Illogan Highway. He married Elizabeth Rogers (born 1804) on 30 July 1820. I have their 5 children.
I would like to see who his ancestors were but it will be difficult with the spelling of this family. Osborne.Osborn etc.

Opc has Henry son of Henry and Elizabeth baptised at Redruth 14 Jun 1795.
Henry Osborn/e married Elizabeth Paul at Illogan 29 Mar 1783
Possible candidate for Henry is baptised at Redruth 3 Aug 1755, son of Henry and Constance Brown jnr who married at Redruth 29 Aug 1754 with consent of her parents, witnesses Leonard Brown and Nicholas Paul.
Leonard Brown married Constance Paul in 1718 plenty there for you to check and add to....

It looks like some of the names your Henry used for his children, eg William and Andrew, were the names of his brothers.

Henry OSBORN buried at Illogan Highway on 20 March 1830, aged 35, so that is where the birthdate of c1795 came from, and the two posts from Londoner above seem to sort you out as regards possible parents and grandparents.

FMP has the marriage of Henry Osborn and Elizabeth Rogers 30 July 1820 but no fathers names for either:headbang:
Cornwall opc doesn't seem to have the marriage at all.
I am trying to find information about the Rogers tree now and don't know whether to keep it here or start another thread.
How will I be able to find her?
The only clue to the Rogers surname is a Mary Rogers a widow and was a visitor at William Osborne's house in 1871.
I think that I have traced her back to 1841 and she is living her husband John Rogers and many children through the censues.
    ADDED: Always at Illogan.

Elizabeth OSBORNE nee ROGERS is still alive in the 1861 census of Illogan (RG9/1582, folio 28, page 21) where she is described as a widow living at Illogan Highway together with unmarried children Elizabeth & Andrew. She is shown as aged 57 and born Illogan. However, I think her age is possibly incorrect on this census as the 1851 census of Illogan (HO107/1915, folio 440, page 3) shows an Elizabeth OSBORNE, sister in law, widow, aged 70, born Illogan, living with William OSBORNE an unmarried 64 year old Tin Dresser, born Illogan, who could well be your Henry's brother baptised at Redruth in 1789. The only likely death registration I have found so far is one in the September qtr 1864 at Redruth reg district for a Betsy OSBORN, aged 74, which gives a birthdate of c1790. The 1841 census record for Elizabeth nee ROGERS shows her as born c1796, so perhaps a birthdate of c1790 is the most likely. The downside is that you then have 3 candidates for your Elizabeth ROGERS baptised at Illogan: 18 February 1787 daughter of William & Elizabeth ROGERS, 20 September 1789 daughter of David & Alice ROGERS and 23 May 1790 daughter of David & Jennifer ROGERS.

The David ROGERS who is married to an Alice looks as if he left a Will - entry on Death Duty Index Register in 1821, the Executor being an Alice ROGERS of Illogan, he being buried at Illogan on 25 April 1821, aged 61. Also an entry in the Death Duty Register in 1832 for William ROGERS, the Executor being an Elizabeth ROGERS of Illogan, William being buried at Illogan on 4 June 1832, aged 77. Perhaps obtaining copies of these Wills might clarify whether either of these is the father of your Elizabeth.
