Because I work from home, this
has been the norm for me.
I have to leave a note on the computer on a Sunday night that says "blog" ready for Monday morning.

My husband and I (yes I am a royal personage) keep having to ask each other what day it is.
What happens when neither of us knows?

My computer tell me what day it is if I'm curious. My world has only changed in one respect,- I cannot go swanning into local Library anymore. Service is conducted in a slightly different manner & our Son does the foot work, Also with groceries. :)

For quite a while, even before all this, we look at each other first thing, ‘What’s today, Saturday?’. Everyday is Saturday now.
Or we look at the TV guide and if we watched something familiar last night then we know it’s the next day.

I have a feeling we will all live in a much simpler world from now on. Pity we have to still put up with technology though.

I am glad to see that I am not the only one not to know the day of the week.
My daughter does the shopping for us and goes 2 days a week. She find herself looking forward to it! (she lives with me)
Last week I baked chocolate bicuits and made sweet and sour sauce and sat in the garden x stitching.
This week I washed an outside wall and painted part of it. Was hoping to do some today but it has been raining.
As the lockdown continues I shall finish painting outside wall and then paint bathroom wall.
    What joy:)

    It was exciting wasn’t it?
The worst thing is that petrol is really cheap right now and we can’t even go out the driveway. At that rate a full tank will last two years.

Technology is good. I had a doctor's appointment the other day, but all our surgery appointments are video link only. That was weird; I just wanted to giggle throughout. "Place your phone next to your eye..."

Ours are phone too, if possible. I think we’ve had three this week. The only place we have to front up is to hubby’s imaging place. He’ll glow in the dark shortly.

If anyone had told me, a month ago, that I would really look forward to going to the supermarket I would have fallen over laughing - the difference a few weeks makes:rolleyes:

I rather enjoy doing the grocery shopping. Still can’t get any flour though and I would really love to bake some bread but all the bread mixes seem to disappear as soon as they are loaded on the shelves. A pot of soup and home baked bread now that we are getting into the cooler weather. Gradually expanding around the middle.

I've been making virtually all our bread for the last 20 years. It started as a way of keeping an eye on what goes into it, but over time I think our systems have got used to it, and we'd struggle to go back to exclusively shop-bought bread now. So the shortage of flour in the shops here (UK) has been quite a worry.

After not finding it yet again this week I had a look online, and there are some mills that sell direct to the public, though a number have closed their online shops for now, or are operating for restricted hours.

Anyway, I got lucky and found one that was selling 16kg bags of bread flour, and one has just arrived. Including carriage the cost per kg was a bit more than I usually pay, but a lot less than I would have to pay a rip-off merchant on a well-known auction site.

Can you get flour online in Oz?

I was just going to say the same thing, I never, in my wildest dreams, would have actually considered it a treat to go shopping :D

Years ago I bought a "Day of the week" analog clock for my mother. It sits on the shelf next to our illuminated digital time clock. Midday Sunday is at "noon," with the days of the week arranged around the circle. It's midday Friday right now, so the single hand is pointed at about 8:30. We also get cues from TV, meds, smart phones, and the computer. ;) The cats let me know when it's Wednesday - time to change the litter boxes ahead of trash day on Thursday! :sceptical:

Shopping these days causes stress over wearing face masks. There is political resistance among many locals, so one gets nasty looks either way you go. I find them hot and uncomfortable, but necessary. As a shy person, I get really self-conscious, rather like wearing a Halloween costume to the office only to discover you are in the minority of participants. The good news is that most of the stores are finally allowing the workers to wear protective gear, so I get approving vibes from them, at least.

    Namaste.

Unfortunately i have no trouble knowing what day it is as i am still having to go into the office as my boss deems a legal secretary an essential employee. I would rather be on furlough ensuring that i am doing my bit to protect myself, hubby and proper essential workers but hey ho. All i know is that tomorrow is saturday yay:D:D:D:D:D
