    Hello,

Edith was born in Littleton Panell in 1895 (don’t have the birth certificate yet) and christened at West Lavington on the 2nd of June. This is all in the Devizes area. She is last seen on the 1911 Census, working in Market Lavington. I have a family photo including her from around the 1920s, and one much later from around the 1960s. I haven’t found a potential marriage in Wiltshire, nor a viable death in the Devizes area post-1960. I think she must’ve moved away post-1911, and perhaps come back for the family photo - her mother was in her 90s at this point and died at 97.

Would anyone please be able to help me?

    Adam

Sorry, I can't find anything more than you already have.

There is an Edith Coleman on 1939 Register. Although the date of birth is 1893 if you look at the original it was not entirely clear - could even be 1898 which would rule yours out. But it does look as if the 3 was a correction of a 2.

As I awoke this morning it occured to me, have you looked under obvious daft spelling such as Coalman? [also, Colman / Coulman.]

I guess you know that in FreeBMD you can do a Phonetic search. I edited my post just after you had quoted it. Try Coulman and all sorts of variations. Put in Ed* as first name (cannot think of variations of that but you'd be surprised)
