Just popped into Ancestry and I do not care for the new message system. More importantly, you have a limited time to download the folders in which all your previous messages are held. Set to!
I was in there yesterday and found it difficult to see all the messages in a conversation - couldn't find messages that I'd received from other people - only my replies, so they didn't make sense.
Another disappointing development of the website. They still haven't reinstated 'Last person Viewed' on my home page.
Neither do I and I didn't know about downloading previous messages... guess I will be busy for awhile. Thank you for pointing that out. There is a place where you can send your comments, if you think they will listen.
Go to messages "see all" "Your messages are now located in our new message center and can be viewed by recipient. Your 3 folders and messages from our previous system will be available to download and save until 31 August 2020." I think down loading 'sent' messages would be a one at the time thing as you need to click on each name to see message to & from.
Well Wendy I haven't got that message yet when I go to see all it just goes straight into the messages, in fact its easier to use now I get all messages! perhaps I missed it will have to go search thanks anyway

Would it be perhapsthati haven't made any folders for messages tobe honest didn't know I could only been on ancestry for 18 yearshad I realised might have been easier to find messages!!
I had a fright this morning with an email from Ancestry looking to collect 'money owing' to continue. I had thought my sub'. ended on the 30th-ish, but no, the 14th. Tried for a lesser payment amount but don't think it's going to happen. Page for a lower amount just led me to normal page. Too early for me think quickly.
