Has anybody had problems with receiving a link to reset password?
Since the weekend I have been trying to get a link to sign on.
I click - Forgot password - and the message says password reset sent but nothing is sent.
It is annoying because I have found a will that I hope will have names that I have been looking for.

    Sorry about not putting link:oops:
Checked all folders and nothing. Even asked my daughter to try with her email address and nothing.

Is it possible you previously logged on from a different email or contact account? I juggle several and sometimes can't remember which one I used for the initial sign-up. As Jan said, best to contact them directly.

    Yes! A few weeks ago.

In the end I gave up trying the reset link. I had to boot up my old laptop - took forever, as it doesn't work very well - but at least it had saved the log-in details including password for the wills site, and ordered from there.

I mainly use my 'settings' - 'Passwords' to help me out, although recently I've found that i must use my 'windows' password to get into 'settings'. Darned annoying when I can't remember which is 'windows' password & which is Microsoft. I get there in the end & hope I've got the right one saved in settings. If that fails- there is usually a lingering intro sitting in 'History' to let me in. ;)

I had a notebook with all my passwords in it. Except one. :) Guess which one.

However, once into the site it allowed me to change my password and I've just checked... I have since added it to the list.

I don't know if it's connected, but I ordered a will a week or so ago, and I didn't get an email notification either of the order or when it was ready.

I haven't changed my email address (which is the one I used to log in with), and my email provider doesn't delete any spam before I've reviewed it unless it considers it to be really evil. I had plenty of other things to think about at the time, so I'm afraid I didn't follow it up - and if I had done, would I have got their reply anyway? :sceptical:

I have now contacted them but I won't hold my breath.
If I hear nothing I shall send for it by post.
No luck with my old laptop either and my daughter hasn't heard from them.
So the problem is their end.

I have had 2 emails frome them.
The first is welcoming me and says 'If you want to track the progress of your ticket, please follow the link below to choose a password, and you can log in right away.'
I won't do that at the moment.
The 2nd thanks me and says 'Given the current volume of enquiries, we are prioritising replies to questions related to COVID-19 and GOV.UK email updates. Users submitting enquiries on other topics should expect delays in response. Commercial solicitations, spam and abusive messages will be closed without reply.'

Below is a message from them today. I presume that HM Courts & Tribunals team will look into it and let me know?

    Thank you for contacting GOV.UK.

Your enquiry has been passed to the HM Courts & Tribunals team who manage the 'Find a will' service.

They will investigate and respond to you directly.

If you have feedback about the service or would like to contact them directly, email:

    hmctswills@ironmountain.co.uk

In the meantime your original query with GOV.UK will now be closed.

Of course, a lot of these departments are still mostly working from home because of coronavirus, so that might be something to do with it.

I had a reply a couple of days ago and was given a password and told to change it after I signed in. Wasn't accepted and I thought that I did something wrong. Asked daughter to do it and the same thing happened.
Emailed them again and they said that they could. Told me the same password and with breath held,I signed in and this time it worked. I also changed the password and I hope that I shall be able to sign in when the will arrives.

Signed in okay this time. That was a relief.
Have to wait until the 22nd of the month to read the will. What's the betting that it won't help me at all.
I only ordered it in the hope of finding a couple of relatives of Grace Bear Mogg.

Decided to see of the will had arrived in the hope that it will be before the 22nd.
It was delivered on the 14 April but I didn't have any notification that it had.
Seeing that there are only 31 days to download a copy that is 5 days wasted.
Now I have to find out who Mrs A Morgan of Kingsbridge and Mrs E W Lane of Paignton the nieces of Grace Bear Mogg are. Whether her side or husband I don't know but I shall have fun trying.
She also left something to her cousin John Bennett who lives in Barrow-in-Furness.
