Perhaps one to bear in mind, given that your Robert named a son John, is a marriage at Chewton Mendip on 14 January 1629 of a John BATTLE to a Mary TUCKER. This couple have a son James baptised at Chewton Mendip on 15 December 1633 (parish register image available to view on Ancestry).

There is a PCC Will for said John BATTELL of Widcombe in the parish of Chewton Mendip dated 5 December 1654 and proved at London on 28 August 1657, available to view on Ancestry, in which he mentions his wife unnamed, son James BATTELL, son Robert BATTELL, son in law John TUCKER the son of his wife Mary. He makes John PURNELL of Widcombe & son Robert BATTELL his Executors.

If you can access Ancestry, they have a lot of Somerset parish registers online including Chewton Mendip & West Harptree.

A Robert BATTLE was buried on 5 November 1705 at Chewton Mendip. Looking at the parish register of West Harptree via Ancestry, it seems as if there may have been a change of vicar between November 1658 & April 1661 and no marriages have been recorded between those dates nor are there any marriages recorded at Chewton Mendip between April 1655 & July 1661 again using Ancestry, so unfortunately we may never find a record of Robert & Hannah's marriage.

Widcombe was a detached part of Chewton Mendip parish and people there often used churches that were closer, so worth looking at The Harptrees, Hinton Bluett, Stowey etc. but as Janet mentions the registers are sparse for the Commonwealth years and patchy before that.
