Mary Wallington married William Lord, Chipping Norton 1723. They were both of the parish. They seemed to have lived in ChippingNorton. I have searched for the actual date of Mary's birth with no luck, and also have been unable to establish Mary's parents details
There's a Mary Wallington baptised in Wotton-under-Edge, Gloucestershire Mar. 27 1696 with parents Edward and Hester Wallington. She could have been a servant therefore living in Chipping Norton.

The Mills Archives website suggests they may have further details about Thomas Wallington possibly a will. If so this may mention his daughter. His will is mentioned in the Oxfordshire wills index on FMP.
Vicky, William LORD & Mary WALLINGTON actually married in Shipton under Wychwood on 8 August 1723, both being shown as of the parish of Chipping Norton (sources Oxfordshire FHS Marriage Index and Oxfordshire FHS Parish Register Transcripts of Shipton under Wychwood). I have had a look at the Will of Thomas WALLINGTON of Chipping Norton, Miller, proved in 1728, and he does mention his daughter Mary and she is married to a William but her married surname does not look like LORD to me. However, having said all this, there is only one likely marriage for a Mary WALLINGTON on the Marriage Index and that is the one at Shipton, so perhaps the surname is what the scribe who actually wrote the Will thought he heard! There are no WALLINGTON baptisms at Chipping Norton at around the correct time but the Thomas WALLINGTON who is a Miller mentions various children in his Will including a son Crispian? and a daughter Martha and there is a marriage at Chipping Norton on 5 January 1718/19 of a Martha WALLINGTON to a George FRANKLIN by licence. There is also an Apprenticeship record on Ancestry for a Crisp. son of Thomas WALLINGTON of Sandford/Saulford?, Oxfordshire, Miller, to a Samuel RIGHTON Citizen & Cooper of London dated 14 December 1716. However, again no WALLINGTON baptisms or marriages at Sandford St Martin, so it could well be Saulford. Unfortunately for you, according to the Oxfordshire FHS PR Transcripts of Salford, the parish registers prior to 1757 were destroyed by fire and only some Bishop's Transcripts records are available and there are no baptismal records between 1680 & 1719. Another of Thomas's children, Stephen WALLINGTON married a Deborah JOYNER at Shipton on 11 July 1725, he being shown as of Salford and she of Churchill. The baptism of their daughter Sarah on 30 January 1725/26 is the earliest WALLINGTON baptism at Salford. Thomas WALLINGTON's burial is shown as 9 August 1728 at Salford. If your Mary is the daughter of Thomas WALLINGTON, and that seems quite likely, the fact that there are no Salford records between 1680 & 1720 would explain why you cannot find any birth/baptismal details for her. You may have to research other members of Thomas WALLINGTON's family shown in his Will to provide some corroborative evidence. Janet
Just looking through the parish register of Chipping Campden re your other thread Vicky about Esther HICKMAN and lo and behold up pops a baptism at Campden on 25 October 1639 for a Crispianus WALLINGTON son of Thomas WALLINGTON. Looking through the PR Transcripts of Chipping Norton, the only WALLINGTON marriage there was one on 5 February 1664/65 for a Crispianus WALINGTON to a Margrit RIGHTON. Thomas WALLINGTON of Salford, Miller, mentions a son Chrispin.... in his Oxfordshire Will - definitely not a common name - so do all roads eventually lead back to Chipping Campden??? Janet
Yes, according to jane akshar they do! (Her Wallington family tree is def worth checking and can be found within her Egypt based site) And Crispian does seem to be a family name. The family seem to be around that part of the Cotswolds where Oxfordshire, Gloucestershire and Warwickshire meet.

Hello there, Jane Akshar was my distant cousin, we had communicated a few times before her sad passing. I’m desperately trying to get hold of a copy of the Wallington Family Tree. I know Jane used to have it on her Egyptian Website, but sadly, that seems to have disappeared now, and I didn’t get to download it.
