I am having a big senior moment again! Paul Hollingsworth married into my family and although I have found out some bits about him I thought I would look at it again and tidy him up with proper references etc.
Paul Hollingsworth was born c 1834 in Newark Nottinghamshire. His father was a Master Baker and the family moved to London when Paul was small. On the 1851 census Paul was in NewGate Prison for embezzlement. I have written a note that he embezzled
4s., 4s. 1d., and 1s. 7d.the moneys of John Hucks, his master: to which he pleaded GUILTY . Aged 17.— Confined Four Months.
Where would I have got that information from?????
I am assuming John Hucks was a Baker as Paul was and wondered if I could find him on the 1851 census. Paul's family were living in Lambeth but I do not know if Paul was living with them.
Can any one help me I would really appreciate it.

Paul was with his Family 1841 in prison 1851 & with Family 1861 when he appears to have married Margaret Connell 25 Apr. 1858.
Family not found after 1861 mayhap they went abroad? A death for a Paul 1866 Caistor.

Wow Wendy that is something to go through, thank you so much. I have just got up and checked my E-Mails but for now I have to go out. I am taking a short helicopter ride (one of those internet deals) from Fairoaks in Chobham. this is about two miles from where I grew up. We were surrounded by wonderful common land (Horsell Common and home of HG Wells War of the World). I am hoping I can recognise some of my haunts, the commons remain much as they were in my day. This afternoon hubby will take my grandson to see Chelsea play football and I will savour what you have found. Thank you again. Elizabeth
