Francesca DALLI married Adam FAIRBROTHER in Malta in 1877. Francesca was Catholic, Adam was not. They had a daughter, Louisa, in 1880 in Malta. By 1901, Adam is back in England, having married again in 1896. I have not found Adam in Britain in 1891, so he was probably still in Malta with the Navy. I know that obtaining the marriage certificate for Adam's 1896 marriage would confirm that he was a widower, but as his daughter Louisa was still with him in 1901 (just 5 years younger than his new wife....) I reckon that Francesca had died by then... probably in Malta. If anyone is able to shed any light on her demise, I would be grateful.

Thank you both! The Maltese website that you might also be thinking of @Ma-dotcom is Code: http://website.lineone.net/~stephaniebidmead/index.htm It was on this that I found Giuseppa (who you found wed to Adam) recorded as Francesca....
MAlta Family History has her recorded as Francesca Dalli to Adam Fairbrother 1877. Angiolina Dalli to William Townsend 1875 Mariana Dalli to John Mansfield 1878 all celebrated by Roman Catholic Clergy Nothing showing up on deaths recorded in her name but records are incomplete.
I wonder if one or the other names was a Baptismal name, or a second name? We really need to see her birth/Baptismal record.
Jan, the marriage certificate between Adam Fairbrother and Mary Ann Grover is on FMP (Hertfordshire Marriages) - and Adam is, indeed, recorded as a widower
