Hi there. We love trying to solve the mysteries of some of our ancestors, both here in NZ and Australia, there in UK or over there in North America. We spend way too much time on such pursuits but enjoy every minute of it.

The main names of interest to us include:
    Drummond, Perthshire in Scotland
    MacGregor, Perthshire in Scotland
    Pattullo, Kincardineshire, Scotland
    Banks, Edinburgh, Scotland
    Clark, Glasgow, Scotland
    Moir, Scotland
    Duncan, Scotland
    Mackay, Northern Ireland and Scotland
    Applegarth, Northumberland, England
    Williamson, Newcastle-upon-Tyne, England
    Staines, Norfolk, England
    Burgess, Kent, England
    Coppins, Kent, England
    Williamson, London, England
    Vango, London, England
    Fredericks, London, England
    Letchford, London, England
Elkins, Isle of Wight and Southampton, England
Rawlance/Rawlence, Winchester and New Forest, Hampshire, England, also Canada
Briasco, Italy, Exeter and Plymouth, Devon, England, also possibly USA
    Martinelli, Italy and possibly USA
    Stuchini/Stochini, Italy and possibly USA
    Stilwell/Stillwell, New York, USA

There are bound to be many more too. We will be posting queries as time allows.

Should I have added Zammit and Baring, both of Adelaide, Wendy? My daughter-in-law tells me that Zammit (her surname) is like Smith or Brown. Maybe she doubts my tenaciousness!

From one whose life is shared with Smiths-lots- & I'm just now re-checking my Browns, Zammit caught my attention & of-course I had to look in the phone book. Two contenders! the others may have private numbers.

I look forward to your showing your Dtr-in-law just what you can achieve.;)

Welcome to the best forum around for Family History research.

As you are in New Zealand, a question - are you anywhere near Aukland and if so would you know of North Shore Memorial Park?

If they are not I will be going out there over the New Year or just after, not too far from North Shore, let me know if I can get any information or pictures for you while I am out there. arryboy Graham

We are about an hour and a half from Auckland, Colin, and travel up there often. What do you need from the memorial park? I assume that is a cemetery?

    Hi Catriona.
Yes it is a cemetery and both parents are dead - one in 1990 and the other in 2008.

As their children - I know of 2 - may still be alive I cannot post details, but will open a conversation with you to provide details.

    Is that OK?

Sure thing, Colin. We are due to go up to the North Shore at the end of this month so hopefully we can go and have a look for you.
