I agree with you and Wendy re the "strong attraction" between them..hate to say that under the circumstances! But it does seem rather clear to me! I am sure it was just as big a sin then as it was even 50 years ago. Times have changed! Nowadays suicides aren't usually reported in the newspapers...nor the reasons why! Really sad though!

John Minton is in grave reference: R28 John is not buried alone, with him are Thomas & Susannah Jenkins, his aunt & uncle.
Found a lady in the US researching Ellen Minton, Lewis's mother. Apparently she married Charles Burgess in 1881. I have the image of the marriage from FMP. Have contacted the lady and sent her what I have. We are now in contact. Ellen and Charles left for the US in 1887. Both are this lady's g grandparents.
