Findmypast has loaded 2.5 million Kent Parish Registers today. That'll keep us busy! :)

(P.S. If you're lucky enough to have forbears in Luddenham, their records go back to 1547!).

I have been looking for years for the burial of my mum's grandad. He died when she was 7 so she didn't know where he was buried. It is there - will have to go and have a search for his grave now. :D

I'd better see if there's a mention of a couple of my wife's paternal ancestors there, up to now they have alluded me, I can only do a non member search but if either come up up at least I'll know where to go to find him, so thanks for the heads up Flook.

Have you tried here Derek. You have to browse, but at least they are the original registers.

    Code:
    http://medway.adlibhosting.com/
    Then click on Parish Registers.

Another new resource on Ancestry - London Poor Law Hospital Admissions and Discharge 1842-1918.
If you have anyone from Deptford (I have) Kent - the the books for Vanburgh Hill hospital are great, they are indexed and the discharge reg. gives name of who they are going to, relationship, plus address:)

Not sure Sis but I don't think so, I've made a note of the URL and now that the weather is changing I'll have more time for genealogy.

Quite a number of my wife's lot came from around the Deptford/Greenwich/Woolwich, my wife was born in a hospital at Woolwich although she lived all her single life in Lee Green, London which of course like the other Greater London areas I mentioned were once Kent.

June is more of a mixed breed than myself, from her parents she additionally gets ancestors from Liverpool, the Midlands, Huntingdonshire, Surrey, Sussex, Middlesex, Oxfordshire, Berkshire, Buckinghamshire, Suffolk and of course good old Essex from her maternal side. :D
