Can anyone decipher the Christian name on this doc please ?

Could it be a version of Gilliam......Ghilium.

 

Could the first part be Philius or Ghilius?

 

Possibly Thebius.

 

Do you know the surname? I can’t figure that one either.

I see Phehim Lamplugh. Phehim is an Irish boys name apparently. Still working on the second line, which may or may not be part of the name.

 

Lamplagh? I like Philum/Phelum though

That's a doozy!! I see Lamplugh as a last name but without other script from the page, it is nigh near impossible. At first I thought it started with CL....but then that turned to G. and when the name Alice popped into my mind, I knew I had lost the plot, lol. Good luck.

By the way.......can you tell us what year or decade? I have transcribed Wills as far back as 1500 but this one eludes me. By the way.....the 1500 Will looked like Arabic or Gregg Shorthand. Took my daughter and I forever to get that one done........

- middle name LAMPLUGH?
- first name GHISLAINE?? ALISHINE??

Hmmm, we will have to wait until Dogsday turns up to answer some of the above questions. We don't even know if the person is male or female. Probably male, but the name "Ghislaine" is intriguing. Kinda fits. Night all, 1:15 in Ontario....
