Yesterday I decided to go further back with the Beckerleg's.
The above was a son of Richard Beckerleg and Elizabeth Harris and he was born in Breage.
I found Daniel in Iowa in the 1850.1880,1900 and 1910 censuses.
Also found him on findagrave . Dodgeville, Iowa County, Wisconsin, USA.
It says he was born in Brayne but it should be Breage.
He was married to Lavinia Paul but I can't find a marriage for them. Was he married in Cornwall or the US?
He later married Mary A Vincent who was the widow of Thomas Vincent.
I would like to find his emigration details to see who he travelled with.

He's transcribed on the 1855 & 75 census as Beckerley and in 1860 as Bickerleg - Dodgeville. Still looking for passenger details.

No luck, sorry, Genie. 1900 Census gives 1846 as immigration year and 54 years married, so I haven't got any further than you have already. Are you able to access his Civil War Draft Registration record?

I have FMP. Is it on that? The surname Beckerleg throw up sorts of spellings and that make things difficult.
Somewhere is says she was born in Camborne. No wonder I couldn't find her.
Daniel remarried and I found him in various censuses.
My direct ancester James who was Daniel's brother died in 1863 and his wife in 1861 both at Breage.
    Daniel's siblings
Have to find John Beckerleg born 1881 at Breage.
Mary 1810. I have seen a marriage where there is a Mary in her 60s marrying at Breage. Will have to look into that.
I think that I found William born 1823 at Breage marrying Margaret James 19 Mar 1842 in Breage. No father for Margaret.

It's on the worldwide sub for Ancestry which I don't have access for, and I can't find it on familysearch. I found a number of public trees on Anc earlier, but mention of a 1850 marriage in Dodgeville only cite other trees, so...
