Mine were ordered a few days before yours, Terry - never mind, won’t it be a lovely surprise when they appear
I'm still waiting for the one of three that I ordered on 26th July ... pretty sure they are sending the most recent wills out first, presumably because they are easier? As before, I'm busy so happy to wait ... but of course I'd love to know what's in that will!
I was going to ask how deliveries were shaping up. Mine were ordered around the same time as Chimp's so it would appear I have a while to wait yet.
2nd one from 23rd July came today it is 7 full pages long well worth £1.50 mind you my brain hurts trying to sort it out set hubby on job its his great great grandfather after all
The Family History Federation posted the following on their Facebook page: Waiting for a will? You're definitely not alone ... so please Be Patient! Maybe rather than writing a letter of complaint you should order another one instead? At only £1:50 a copy they are really good value at present! Go to: https://probatesearch.service.gov.uk/#wills PS - This was the official response when we asked: We are experiencing very high demand for copies of wills, which means it is taking us significantly longer than usual to provide copies requested via gov.uk. We are sorry for the inconvenience and the frustration that this delay is causing. Please be assured that we have your request and understand how important this is to you.
This is true. It makes sense to grab copies of as many wills as possible while they are so cheap. I'm sure they'll put the price up again before long. Think of all those civil servants wading through massive intakes and blessing all us family history people.
It's coming up to 2 months since I applied for a Will. I'm guessing that sending a query would only result in an automatic reply. Does anyone have an update on the queue?
I’m still waiting for one ordered on 26th July (I’ve received another two ordered on the same day). I think older wills are taking longer. Sue
Funnily enough I went on the web site this morning to see if there was a message apologising for the delay......silly me
