My great grandparents used to live here . Supposedly at Hornby castle as servants , though no evidence. I've inherited some old postcards of the village . Does anyone want them

If nobody on the forum is interested, perhaps there is a village historian who would be interested in them.

    The village website is at
    Code:
    https://www.hornbyvillage.org.uk/
and they have a "get in touch" link. :)

Wait wait! I would absolutely love them.

My great great granddad was gardener at Hornby Castle, his father was head gardener there. I've visited Hornby a fair bit and sat in the walled garden at the castle wistfully looking at 'my ancestors'' delapidated old greenhouse. :)

(Whereabouts in Flintshire are you, @alison816? I'm from outside Holywell; the family are from Mold).

Ah, I know Mynydd Isa. :)

My family were/are all around there. The chap in my avatar was my grandad who lived in Bistre for a time - I have an aunt and an uncle buried at Emmanuel church... oh, I could go on.
