I have a lass called Elizabeth Hughes allegedly born 1806 (source 1841 census), who married George Parker in 1823 (source parish record) at Lambeth, who was widowed and remarried Thomas Fotherby in 1832 (source parish record) at Westminster St James.

In 1841 she is living with Thomas (who is a tailor) her 2 children from the marriage with George and a clutch of subsequent children by Thomas. Now here's the thing. Some while back I was 'talking' to Flook ion a thread in here about Fotherby and in that I made the claim that Thomas died in 1843 and Elizabeth stuck around till 1880s.

Embarrassed to admit now, that I cannot find her anywhere after 1841. I obviously didn't note where I found her.:eek::eek: Any help would be greatly appreciated. She was living in Paradise Street, Lambeth which was always a great source of amusement to me and Flook as some of his ancestors were just around the corner. Anyhow the 1841 reference is H0107; 1057; 11; 16.

Am now scarlet! Have found a thread on here where someone pretending to be me lists all the census entries.:rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes: Mortified or what? @Genie1 it was your find that caused me to look at that census and I thought, whoa! That rings a bell and no mistake. In my defence, my FTM files were corrupted when I upgraded to 2019, duplicating some people and deleting others. Thanks for your help in digging out the info.

I had a chuckle over this. Many years ago I read a novel about Paradise st. " lamplighter of.." I think. It ended near Tower Bridge.
Sooo, I looked in my trusted file search & came up with 8 residents of Paradise st. 8 family members at a quick count but a couple of those were listed as Rotherhithe & others in Lambeth.

I'll bet you're glad you kept your census records. ;) Electorals are handy too.
