I am not sure if I am mad, or just very organised:D, but today I have started a notebook to record who I really want to look up:reading: when we finally get the chance to delve into it.

One thing is for sure, if I do not have it written down, by the time the census is released I will have forgotten the who, why and where:eek:

I know the release is nigh on 18 months away, but for anyone who does not know this is what the NA say we will be able find from the census - it makes the wait even harder!

This census provides greater detail than any previously published, as in addition to the questions asked in 1911, the 1921 returns also asked householders to reveal their place of employment, what materials they worked in and their employer’s name. Those aged 15 and older were required to provide information about their marital status, including if divorced, while for those under 15 the census recorded whether both parents were alive or if either or both had died.

I'm possibly the only person dreading it being released.

It will really put the cat amongst the pigeons in our family. :nailbiting:

Is it very sad that I am already excited about this? :D

I wonder how much we'll be charged to view it when it is first released? Logic says that it will be included in our existing subscriptions eventually but we all know it will be impossible to wait. So, of course do the data owners, who will be already computing how much extra we'll be prepared to shell out. :(

Well, no... except that people won't be where they are meant to be on census night. Children aren't with the right parents, and ohhh :oops:

I daren’t tell anyone (outside of TD) that I can‘t wait for the release of the 1921 census - especially after seeing what is included on it - my friends think I’m obsessed enough already :confused:o_O:D

I intend to ignore it all, then if in August next year I am still able, I shall be absolutely delighted with the event. ;)

Well, that's a bit complex, isn't it? I wonder how many people filled it in correctly?

:D keep that sense of humour and you will be fine, as for the others it will be sad if the truth hurts them, but you cannot alter the truth........

I am so looking forward to it been released. I wish it could have been released after 75 years. Is it 1922? Let's hope the sites don't crash!. Some genealogy companies are going to make a killing from this.!!
