Just went in Ancestry and saw they are offering a 14 day free trial, it wasn't there yesterday, so looks like 14 days up for grabs.
Slight side issue but....Ancestry has a new feature on it's DNA section called Story Scout. It's wildly inaccurate for me. Giving me a distant ancestor who signed the US Declaration of Independence. This would be charming except for the fact they are listing someone who is supposed to be the brother of my 4th GGF. I sincerely doubt the parents of the signatory just nipped across the Atlantic to the West Midlands, had a child, left him there and wobbled back off across the ocean. Right name, wrong person and linked to so many trees incorrectly.
I think some of my ancestors were left in odd places too Leastways according to Ancestry.[lol] Especially where they had never been in their lives. Yes I agree I have some missing marriages too. I don't think i will find them overseas somehow.
They always used to offer 14 days free.....but not anymore. I signed up for 3 months for a dollar but do not intend to continue it at $300/year. I find I am rather lost with all the format and totally wrong relatives....minor point, lol.
