I've noticed that I'm no longer receiving email notifications for my 'alerts'. I've checked my settings and they look good. Could this be a side-effect of the new anti-virus software from BT? It must be something to do with BT as I don't have an email client, I just use webmail, and my main email address is a BT one.

Luckily I've found an old email notification that I forgot to delete and I've just added the address as a safe sender, in case that helps.

Does anyone have any other advice?

I could use a different email address, but would prefer not to if I can avoid it.

If I don't see your reply for a bit this will be because I'm not getting the email notifications!

My emails are going all over the place at the moment. Mostly into spam or 'promotions' (they've never appeared in the latter before).

The plot thickens. I am getting email notifications for replies, but not for 'likes'. That might have been what was happening before, but I'm not sure?

Tell your email program that they're "Not Spam" and that Topdog is a safe sender

I don't think you get emails for Likes. You should see a number at Alerts at the bar just under the Dog and Bone.

Thanks, I think you're right, and yes, I did. :)

I panicked because I logged in and had a lot of alerts that I wasn't expecting, but didn't register that they were all 'like's.

I am not getting emails to let me know that somebody has replied to my post.
So what is happening to them.

I have delved into the back end and nothing has changed there.
Have you checked spam? They sometimes end up there...

Some time ago I discovered that some of my emails were going into a folder labelled "Promotions" (Gmail). I discovered that you can disable this nuisance feature - maybe something like that is causing the problem?

I was just about to say the same. Check promotions... I do have most notifications turned of though. They just cause too many emails in the in-box.
