He was baptised 10 Apr 1816 in Buckingham Parish Church, son of William and Elizabeth.
(He is not the Thomas Partridge born in the same year who lived in the nearby village of Akeley.)
In 1841 he was living with his parents in Well Street in the area of Buckingham known as Bourtonhold and was a tinsmith and glazier. The only reference I have found for him after that is a newspaper report that he ws one of several guests who sang a song at a meeting of the Buckingham Tradesmen's Provident Society (which had been founded by his father, a book-binder) at the National School on 4 May 1842.
His father died in Buckingham 22 May 1845. His younger brother John, my g-grandfather, died in London in 1850. His elder brother William Wright Partridge lived in Aylesbury and died in 1881. His mother emigrated with her daughter Martha, son-in-law Luke Ford and family to Texas in 1850 and died there the following year.
I think Thomas may also have emigrated, but if he went with the others he did not stay with them. I have found a burial of a Thomas Partridge, 1816-1881, in Pennsylvania, but the 1870 census says he was born in Ohio, whereas his wife and other members of the family were born in Pennsylvania. However this might only mean that he came to live there from Ohio.
I have not found him in the 1851 census, nor any clue among the fairly extensive records I have found of descendents of his siblings mentioned above.
Hopefully someone will come up with a suggestion or, better still, a positive lead. Thank you, FredP.

Have you looked for the marriage of the Thomas you found in the census? That should give you his fathers name and eliminate him if he is not the correct one.

Sorry Londoner, but the US 1870 census only says he was born in Ohio and his wife Margaret and children were born in Pennsylvania. I have not been able to establish when they were married.

I should have added that searching this afternoon in Find Your Past World-Wide I came across a death in 1881, but of course that turned out to be the man from Akeley. FredP.
