I turn my back for five minutes (well a day) and suddenly new members are sprouting up like nobody's business. It must be spring. I cannot go in to every post retrospectively (well I could but I am not going to) so WELCOME to you all. This is a great place and the members are fantastic. They do go off piste (there is that expression again) without any provocation, but are very helpful all the same. This is, without question, the best genealogy forum on the interwebby so pull up a chair and get posting those queries. No problem too small, no brickwall too high.

No worries, glad to help you find a new source. I'm from QLD so as a member unfortunately, I don't get to visit the group but let me tell you they have been so amazingly helpful over years especially on my German side of the family. Love their journals, they make very good reading!

When we were setting up we contacted literally hundreds of FHS asking if they would be willing to link to us if we linked to them. The ones on the page are those who responded favourably. We also linked to Genealogy Web sites in the same way. See here. If you are looking for other sites Cyndi's List is huge.
