I am aware that Boyd's Marriage Index 1538-1837 is available on FMP for whom I don't have a sub. There are also some random entries on other sites for Essex county which unfortunately do not include the surnames of my interest. I am not aware of these being available on Ancestry - where I do have a sub. I am not averse to using some other sites for a reasonable fee for a one -off search package. What do the forum members suggest?
There are some Essex entries transcribed on the site below. http:// freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~boydsindex/Boydsindex.htm
Have you checked with your local Library to see if they have a subscription that you could use for free?
Yes - FMP - but my 14 day free has just expired. As for other sites they don't know - I even had to tell them about FMP. So I guess I need to know which sites so I can get them to check
If you go to ancestry then search then card catalogue and put in Boyds Marriage Index it should bring it up on the right hand side. Just click on it to search.
No but it should be similer. Look at the top of the page for search. I 'm on my phone so it looks a bit different, but it should be there.
