He died in 1858. He was in jail for stealing a pewter mug from the pub. His brother was also charged but Charles ended up in jail, his brother didn't. Thanks to some English rellies I have a fair bit of information, including his cause of death...kidney blockage, but just thought I would see if there was anything more. Sorry to try and get back on track , but there are countless trial records to view and download FOC from the Old Bailey site. This could be well worth a visit.
I have yet to find complete confirmation but it appears that one of my black sheep was up before the Beak there on at least 2 occasions in the late 1700's, and he was from Lancashire.
