A little light relief ...

    I have no idea what paper this is from, nor the date - probably 1919, when the army was advertising for volunteers to join the Army Reserve (at 1/= per day).
    This is the reverse of the advert:

    I've been having a rummage and the article appeared in various newspapers in February 1921. The protagonists were Laura Alice Sweeting of 35, Dulwich Village and George Jonah Sweeting. They appear to have been poulterers and fishmongers before they separated and she wanted to carry on the business. Mr Sweeting was now a wharf foremen in Tooley Street, London. Mr Chrome appears to have been Mrs Sweeting's fish supplier :)
