I am looking for the latter part of the life of a 1st cousin who went to the U.S. with her mother on 26 June 1915 on board "St. Louis" arriving 6 July 1915.

Her birth was registered in Redruth R.D. 4th q. 1908 as Elizabeth Ellen Merrifield. She was baptised in Gwithian 5 January 1909 as Charlotte Ellen and in the 1911 census of England she was with her mother in Connor Downs, Hayle, Cornwall and was known as Ellie.

She is on the passenger manifest as Charlotte E.

I have not found her or her parents in the 1920 census however in 1924 on 24 March, her father Lewis John Samuel Merrified was residiing @ 621 East 13th St. So., Portland, Oregon.

On 27 June 1925 in Vancouver, Clark Co., Washington [as named Charlotte Ellen] she married Frederick Morcom. I have not found this couple in 1930 U.S. census.
It would appear that this marriage did not last [either through death or divorce] as she married on 5 September 1931 in Chehalis, Lewis Co, Washington - spouse was named as Einer E. Miller. This was a 1st marriage for Einer who states that he was born in Iowa and was aged 27 and named his father as William.

I have not found anything relevant on her 1st husband Frederick Morcom.

As for her 2nd all I have is a Delayed Birth for an Earl E. Miller in the State of Iowa on 28 February 1904 in Seymour, Wayne Co. Iowa and dated 11 August 1941. Upon reviewing this record, supporting documentation indicates that he was married 11 December 1929 and applied for a life insurance policy at age 29 on 18 April 1932. On 11 August 1941 he was living in Sumner, Washington. Since the man who married in September 1931, stated it was his 1st marriage I don't think I have the right chap.
    Any help would be appreciated

According to a story on findagrave Zipporah Bayles married William Miller in 1897. They had 5 children, Earl being the youngest. The eldest Elmer died when he was four. She later divorced William but became ill and had to put her surviving four children up for adoption. When she recovered she couldn’t get them back. She searched for years later finding them and got to know them well. She married Frederick Arthur Stiles in 1905. He died in 1922 and she then married George Searl. She died in 1962. So looking for Einer/Earl might be a bit of a challenge as we have no idea if his surname was changed by his new parents. :(

Earls sister Beulah was also another delayed birth registration.
Family Search has her partial registration dated and sworn December 6 1941. Her birth date 25/12/1902 notated on a signed and witnessed document by Belle Bayles Miller releasing the child to the American Home Finding Association. Forgot to note the date but I think it was in 1903

Fred Morcom and Elizabeth Merrifield had a daughter Lillian May Morcom, born July 12, 1928 in Portland, Oregon. Earl Miller and Elizabeth Merrifield had a daughter Phyllis Lorraine Miller, born March 24, 1932 in Portland, Oregon, and died February 10, 2000 in Fresno, CA. Elizabeth Merrifield married and third time to Philp (Pat) Heil and went by name Betty Heil. Her past is somewhat a mystery to her own descendants. For a long time it was believed that she had only four children, two with Fred, and two with Earl. After her passing it was discovered Elizabeth/Betty had another child out of wedlock. Elizabeth/Betty is my great grandmother.

UPDATE Elizabeth/Betty did not have a fifth child! Earl Miller went on to marry again. Earl and his second wife had 3 children. Then the second wife had another child out of wedlock. Names and details have been omitted since the children are still with us and would prefer to remain private.
