Access to Archives (A2A) disappearing

    But don't panic, the catalogues currently available on A2A (from many different record repositories in the UK) are going to be merged into The National Archives' catalogue, Discovery.

    A beta version of the new-style Discovery can be tried out here:
    http://beta.discovery.nationalarchives.gov.uk/

    To search for records from a particular repository, you have to go into Advanced Search and click on 'Search other archives'. A box then appears for you to type in the name of the repository.

    Thanks for that Jane. I knew they were going to merge A2A with Discovery at some stage, but not when. I see they are saying by Autumn 2014, it will make things a bit long-winded, but, like everything in this world, we'll just have to get used to it......
