My father was with a Canadian squadron during the second world war. He has just died and I am looking to trace his service record. Any advice on how to proceed.

I don't know if this site may be helpful
    bac-lac.gc.ca/eng/discover/military-heritage/Pages/obtain-copies-military-service-files.aspx (put www in front)
I'm sure some of our Canadian members may have some bright ideas :)

    Hi Colin,

I have assumed he was with the Canadian Air Force rather than the RAF so have moved this to non UK Forces section of the forum. Let me know if I am incorrect and I can move it back to RAF.
