I have a 2nd cousin x5 removed called John Brown, born 1839 in Loders, Dorset to Matthew Brown and Matilda Clark

he marries in Southampton, Hampshire on 20 Nov 1858 to Emily Ansell

In 1861 I found the couple in Millbrook, Hampshire with two sons, Albert James (2), and transcribed as Theodore but I believe it says Frederic  (6 months)

I can find nothing further on these two children. Just wondering if anyone else would have any luck? The only grandparent still living is Matilda and they aren't with her ...

    1861 ref is RG9: 684: 52: 35

There are a couple of Fredericks boarding in 1881 in Middlesex and one married also in Middlesex age 20 with a baby
They certainly had a load of kids.

The family in the 1881 census in Ringwood has a mothers maiden name of Lawford, so not the correct family

Thank you both for looking. I should have provided details of the further children/censuses  to have spared you the confusion ...

The Ringwood family are not mine :(, the South Stoneham/Millbrook mob are the right ones

Thank you @patten-walsh for finding Frederick's death, I missed that
