In 1911 Florence Tucker nee Banfield is living with her husband and 3 daughters at RG14PN32183. Piece 32183. Barry,Glamorganshire. There is also Bertha May Journeaux born 1910 Barry, Glamorgan and she is a foster daughter. I have looked at the births on FMP but no mother mentioned. Is it possible that that the child was a daughter of a friend?
I don't know if it is her buton FMP there is a marriage of Bertha May Journeaux in Jersey,Channel Islands to Douglas Arthur Maugher 28 Sep 1933. I am curious how she lived with the family and why.
Did you see there was a couple Walter and Bella Journeaux in Cardiff on the 1901 census, both born Jersey? They are living next door to another family from Jersey - head John Le Santeur RG13/4988/37/66 So there is a bit of a connection betwean the name and Jersey and Cardiff I cannot find Walter and Bella in 1911 though
GRO doesnt have mothers name either but does have it as 1909 instead of 1910 this is on Jersey Heritage there is a card wuth photo but this is £5 to see registration card of Bertha May Sohier nee Journeaux formerly Mauer of Trafalagar House First Tower St Helier born 15/8/1909 Kenneth Arthur Mauger shown as a child on back of card there is also a registration card for 1941 but that costs £3.30!!

Don't worry about getting the wrong end of the stick. I had written a post about Ann Dennis that married David Banfield and realised afterwards that I had her with the wrong mother and wrong year. As to the post- I was curious as to why the Florence Tucker (nee Banfield) had Bertha May Journeaux as a foster child. I was hoping that the child was related to missing Banfields.
I should add that I realised the mistake and din't post it. There was a daugher Grace mentioned as well and that sent me on the wrong track.
