    My hubby endured 6 hours of liver resection surgery today to remove two small tumours that had shrunk due to chemo. No transfusion required.
    We have known that this day was coming and after his last trauma I was not looking forward to it at all. He looks remarkably well but that could be because he has a spinal block at the moment. So after a few more days recovering in ICU then to the ward for another few days, that’s it NO MORE CANCER apart from a bit more chemo. Just in case.

    It’s probably the same thing I’ve had in my eye on and off for 13 months
    Thank you, not quite there yet but getting closer. Just a few more days.
    I’m staying on campus at the hospital in Hope Cottage 3 hours from home so he is only up the ramp and I can visit with him anytime. Can’t wait to get him home though and leave it all behind us.

    Great news Sue and I'm so happy that Lawrie seems on the road to recovery. Now you can relax, allow nature and time to do their thing and then 2019 will be here and a whole new beginning for you both.

    Here's to health and happiness the rest of the way. ():-)():-){-(^^)-}

    Thank you so much, each and every one of you. After last February and his horrid experience with sceptic shock, brought on by a bowel infection and oral chemo, 3 weeks in ICU, we have at last, hopefully the chance to move on.
    Life certainly sends curve balls so please grab that loved one and tell them you love them. Last weekend we drove 6 hours there and 6 hours back to tell Mum we loved her. She touched my face and repeated in a whisper the same to me. I don’t know if I will see her again but I am at peace and so pleased we had that moment. She is also very low but at 95 she deserves her rest.
    That’s the next hurdle.
