We won’t be seeing moose and bears but kangaroos and camels. And camels aren’t indigenous, they were brought out here for transport across the red dirt. They have bred so prolifically and are exported back to the Middle East as they are a better and purer breed than theirs. Not that I’m particularly fond of a camel.
Hope you have an amazing trip, you both deserve it. Come back relaxed and then start plan ing the next one
Already have, The Ghan but will have to wait for autumn for that one as I can’t see myself in Darwin in the summer so in the meantime Tasmania is looking good. That one will be self drive and across Bass Straight on the ferry.
They tried camels when the early gold miners were coming and the railways were being built in the west. They were too miserable to look after and were let loose. They survived for a short while, but eventually died out. Not the right climate for them!
After a few hurdles we are back to clear ct scans, no new surprises, good blood results and a review in 3 months....... Ablated tumours have shrunk by one third which hopefully means that they are dead and now scar tissue......fingers crossed.
Oh Sue that is brilliant news for you and Lawrie as our dear Daft Bat would say, you must be chuffed to little mintballs
Cautiously. 3 months though of ‘no worries’ except choosing a paint colour for the walls. I can live with that worry.
