Born 2007 - Registration?

Our very own Cornish Maid
I have a grandchild born July 2007 - is this too late to find his Birth Registration?

(I've allowed my grandsons to use my Ancestry account for their Family Tree.
Thought I'd try to make "history" come alive.
The youngest is most disappointed that he can't find himself. :()

I have just put 2007 in FMP's civil births and there are over 71,000 possibles.
If you want to pm the name I will look for you,if you do not have access

Thanks, MM, but I'm trying to train them in the "art of research" - so what they can't find for themselves will just have to be left for the future.
I'm sure that he was registered - it just appears that Ancestry records don't cover the date we want!

had a few issues with ancestry when using their general search function not finding results but then going to the collection itself and searching from there i got the results.

Could he ask his parents to see his own birth certificate?
I don’t think it has the same impact. I couldn’t wait until our marriage was actually on line. I had to wait 50 years but there it is in all its glory. There for the world to see. I keep popping in to BDM to see if I can find school friends marriages. Only found one but she was married at age 18 so she’s been there a while. I married young as well. Nothing like being a sticky beak . Ooo is that who she married. He was a dork at school.

@kernowmaid - Have you had the email from the National Archives re Home Learning? They have put some wonderful links in it to things your boys might enjoy exploring (something I intend to do when I have exhausted everything else that I can do inside and in the garden). It includes letters from the WW1 Front, Magna Carta, Victorian Lives and more.
I clicked on a school report for a Victorian teacher and this would be an eye opener for most, they give the number of children at the school -
401 boys, 304 girls and 289 infants:eek:

Wow! Thanks MM - I'll have a look at that.
Must admit - my biggest problem with this distance-home-teaching is the **??** technology

Their school teachers are setting them work on-line, with links to sites & exercises ... but I can't access them (and I challenge anyone to try getting 2 hyped-up boys to tell you sensibly what buttons to press)

And why do computers over-ride instructions?
I started well - got into the youngest's curriculum ... but then tried the 14-yr old's ... and now can't access previous "pages" :headbang::headbang::headbang:
