Hello all
I'm in NY, USA. Since I've started working on my family tree many, many moons ago I've realized that I was possibly sleeping through history class. My tree actually includes several Revolutionary & Civil War veterans as well as later conflicts.
In fact, when I discovered my 4th great grandfather was killed in Antietam, I actually asked my daughter where that was. I'm not sure I've felt so slow & backward before - lol
Anyway - glad to meet everyone here and hoping for the best

Don’t feel too bad about not knowing where Antietam is. I have no clue either. ;)

My parents are from both sides of the Mason-Dixon line, so I have folks who fought on either side. Huh, I haven't compared battles to see if any actually may have fired on each other. :eek: I have a current sub to NEHGS. Let me know if I can help you with any of that.
