Looking for any information on the two young ladies mentioned above.
Charlotte Pettett bap 20 Oct 1811 Rye Sussex father James mother Elizabeth
Celia Pettett bap 17 Sept 1820 Rye Sussex father James mother Elizabeth.
I believe that they were still alive in 1840 when their brother Alfred Pettett was convicted and transported as convict records have listed 3 sisters and 2 brothers.
    Those were Henry 1814,
    James Howard 1807
    Margaret 1823
    Celia 1820
    Charlotte 1811.
Another brother not accounted for on convict record was George born 1809 and died 1820. All I and others have found is what is on Familysearch
They have been missing for a while.
Henry, Alfred, Margaret, and James have all found a home.
    Thanks
Edited: Pettett can be spelt in a variety of ways. It seems to be differently everywhere I look.:(

Unfortunately, neither FreeREG nor Sussec OPC have anything for Rye :(

I did do a search for marriages & deaths county-wide just in case; only found things which are definitely not yours

I've also tried a search of online data at SoG

The only Charlotte Pettett marriage that might fit date-wise is unfortunately in Kent ... and nothing for Celia, sorry :(

I browed their catalogue in case they have Rye PRs in the library and I could visit, but only ones that are way too early or non-conformists -- if you think they could be Baptists ? ...

The Charlotte Pettett marriage may be what I'm after. I didn't think to look in Kent, but just a while ago I found, on The Weald, James' (born 1807) wife on 1881 census at Sissingham Road parish of Cranbrook, a widow age 79. James snr was born in Cranbrook, Kent. So that could be her!.
No I don't think they were Baptists. CofE at least over there. Alfred had a Wesleyan burial over here in 1852

Looks like there is at least one child.
Susannah Horn 18 Sept 1831 Queenborough father George Thrubrole Horn and Charlotte. So far she's the only one.

Have you definitely ruled out the Charlotte Cam(p)bel(l), Charlotte Paine and Charlotte Rubie who appear in the 1841 Rye census, all born 1811?

The only Celia of approx. right age in 1851 (born Rye) is Celia Bourn wife of George Bourn living in Rye -- but have found she was Celia Vaughan :( -- not found any leads for Celia so far

Nothing ruled out yet. Will look further tomorrow. Its grandmas bed time shortly. Thanks for looking. At least we may have something now but Pettett is a very common name in Kent and Sussex I'm afraid.

Charlotte HORN is in the 1841 census of Queensborough (HO107/475/9, folio 12, page 15) living on High Street with daughter Susan aged 9. She is described as aged 30, an Inn Keeper and born in the county.

Cannot find any trace of Celia, though.

Looks like I can rule Charlotte Horn out as my Charlotte was baptised in Rye. So back to square one :(
Also Celia is listed as Selia as well as Celia on Family Search.
Margaret ended up in London married/or not to Benjamin Haw, can't find a marriage there either but is her none the less.
I haven't worried too much about finding these girls in the past but since things are a bit quiet on TD I thought I could give you a challenge :)

You certainly have your MoJo back! :D
    That's lookin' good.
Charlotte and William Fulcher/Foulcher= Rosina Charlotte Foulcher 13/4/1831 Hastings All Saints.
Marianne Fulcher 19/4/1833 buried Mary Anne Fulcher 24/6/1833 All Saints Hastings.
Fingers crossed but still lookin' good.
I think I might keep them as a possibility and record them as such!
    They both had a Rosina/Rosena.
There is also a marriage for a Rosina Charlotte Fulcher, Greenwich 1852 ?
and a Rosa Fulcher 1851 census employee age 21 born Hastings. Servant.

OK. Now have 'cousin' in Kentucky working on the info supplied to me from here. He has found some information on Cecilia Pettett/Bevis and descendants. Apparently the researcher is very thorough with up to 6 sources noted.
Wouldn't it be great to have this family all together again. Hope the source is happy to have contact :(
    Cecelia down. Charlotte to follow!
