    BACKGROUND
Charlotte was born Sep 1878 in Watford, Herefordshire; daughter of George Graves and Ellen Wilson; baptised 22 Sep 1878 in Watford

1881 the family are living in Abbots Langley, Herefordshire, mother Ellen is a dress maker, and father George is an Asylum Attendant (he had previously been a driver in the RHA)

George dies in 1883; leaving Ellen to raise six children

1891 Ellen is still in Abbots Langley, with the youngest three children (Charlotte, William and Ellen); sons George and Alfred Noble are in London, daughter Florence is living in Watford with aunt and uncle Elizabeth and John Noble

1901 Ellen still in Abbots Langley with the youngest three; George is still in London, Alfred Noble has joined the Army and I assume is abroad; Florence has married

    QUESTION:

Charlotte married William Alfred Rogers in 1904 in Watford.

I have found the following children from Baptism records:
    • Robert William Percival ROGERS
      1905–

    • Caroline Nellie ROGERS
      1906–

    • Elsie Florence ROGERS
      1907–

    • Reginald Arthur ROGERS
      1913–
the first three from various Bristol parishes and the fourth from Lydney (GRO confirms mmn as Graves); I have identified a possible daughter Gertrude Alice (1910) born in Leominster, Herefordshire from GRO Records but can't see a baptism

I cannot find any of these people in 1911 (well obviously so for Reginald ) and was hoping that someone else could

Erm..... Watford and Abbots Langley are both in Hertfordshire rather than Herefordshire. ;)

But this does beg the question as to why they legged it over to Bristol for the births of their children. Are there any clues with William's occupation?

It looks like Charlotte and William are living in Lydney, Gloucestershire in 1939 (RG101/5106G/008/21) but I cannot see them in 1911. :(
