Our house also is ready to 'tree' after a bit of husbandly manouvering of large soft recliners, we now have an empty space to fill. I thought the grand kiddoes would be up for the decorating but it hasn't arrive indoors yet & it's been a tad hot. Perhaps tomorrow?

Yep, that's what grandparents are for. :) Mind you my then 5 year old granddaughter did get rather concerned when she was told about Schrodinger's Cat.

Oh I am not surprised she became concerned! I did not know about Schrodinger's Cat and looked it up: realising it related to quantum mechanics and specifically quantum superimposition I rolled my eyes in horror. ( I did enrol in quantum mathematics when studying my degree in mathematics but dropped it after one lesson!)

P.S. I have forgotten more maths than I ever learned so don't ask me

Himself-Poppa- has brought in the boxed tree. He & I branched it out. G'dtr has made a wonderful effort at adding the glitz & glitter.

[quite the easiest branching I've done all day]

    Thank goodness.....
I was hanging back on that one, hoping someone else would own up first to not knowing what all that was about.
Well done Sis. You have restored my faith.:D
And Peregrine. There's probably more out there as well.;)

Then there is a quantum circle.

It was a triangle before you looked at it :D

The Highways Agency seem to have tried applying this principle in the hope it improved traffic flow. For quite some time vehicles using a stretch of M42 near me were required to:

    USE BOTH LANES

I was once told that at Durham station there was a foot crossing over the railway (probably long gone now) where the sign read:

Beware trains going both ways at once

I always have a quantum moment when they tell London rush hour commuters to " use all doors to board the train"

Can't remember the London Transport station concerned but I was alarmed by a notice

    Passengers alight at both ends.

I learned more about physics and mathematics outside of school reading books like Flatland, Flatterland, The Annotated Alice, and Alice in Quantumland. Why school can't manage to make learning fun ridiculous and nonsensical (as in full of nonsense, not as in meaningless) I will never know :D
