I had a message off my friend last evening (lives in England...just.) , I was wondering if anyone can solve the problem or get a message to the tree owner. I don't have ancestry. If you would like my friends email address to pass on I will PM you.
This is the message I received (names can stay as no one knows where my friend is from.)
I’m having a bit of trouble with a bit of my family history research on Ancestry and wondered if you might be able to help me to contact this man in Australia (without taking a fancy cruise on the Queen Mary!)
I’ve signed up to Ancestry recently and this person evidently from my extended family, called colin_gwyther, has uploaded heaps of brilliant info relating to my family, so I want to contact him and thank him. I’ll upload some things too, but I don’t know why, ancestry system keeps telling me that I can’t message Colin atm and try again later or paste the link in my browser. It might be me being a dimwit, but it’s stumped me and then I thought of you.
Is there any chance you might be able to message Colin Gwyther for me please? He looks an awful lot like my brother James. I haven’t yet worked out how we are related, but so far, it looks as though he might be descended from one of my great grandfather’s brothers, who were known in the family as “the tallest men in Pembroke Dock”. My three sons are all over 6’. The eldest is about 6’6” at least. He’s always bumping his head on my light fittings.
